Rich is an experienced authority on real estate law and related litigation. He has led or participated in over 75 jury and bench trials in state, federal and bankruptcy courts in Colorado, Illinois and Utah. Areas of practice include contracts; finance; land use and zoning; HOA; brokerage and agency; easements, licenses and prescriptive uses; title insurance; construction and permitting; mechanic lien and public works; and landlord/tenant.

Rich is a frequent presenter on Colorado commercial and residential landlord/tenant law. He is active in the real estate sections of the Colorado and American Bar Associations, and a member of the invitation-only group of Denver-area real estate attorneys known as POETS.
